ACT Urban Interface Development Guidance

The vision for the ACT Kenny Urban Interface Zone is to provide a buffer between the suburb of Kenny and surrounding reserves to protect ecological and cultural values, support fire management, and enhance liveability.
EcoFutures collaborated with Alluvium and Mosaic Insight to develop an initial plan for the development of key urban interface zones at Kenny, ACT. The project sought to integrate the requirements and strategic objectives of the Nature Conservation Strategy, TCCS municipal infrastructure standards, and SLA requirements in delivering new suburbs under the ILRP. It also incorporates the needs and concerns of internal stakeholder groups and create a process map to identify what role each stakeholder group has in developing suburb interfaces, and when engagement should take place.
