Matt is the CEO of Alluvium Consulting, and a Director of EcoFutures, Alluvium International and Natural Capital Economics.
Matt is an urban water and natural resource management specialist with extensive experience in the development of policy and management frameworks for urban water management. Matt is highly regarded for his ability to resolve complex issues and strength in combining science and economics to inform decision making.
Matt has a high level of experience and expertise working with governments nationally and internationally and makes a valuable contribution for clients in analysing and advising on strategy, planning associated with natural resource management.
His recent consulting experience includes development of a water quality offsets framework for Victoria and supported the development of environmental policy in Sabah for the Malaysian Government.
Immediately prior to joining Alluvium, Matt ran the River Health program at Melbourne Water. This involved leading a team of over 50 staff who managed over 8400km of rivers and creeks, two RAMSAR listed wetlands and numerous other important floodplain sites.
