Charles Sturt University Master Plan
Alluvium worked with Hassell Studio to develop sustainable, future-focused master plans for Charles Sturt University’s campuses, aligning with Strategy 2030 to enhance student experience, community connection, and long-term campus resilience.

To support Charles Sturt University’s (CSU) Strategy 2030, Alluvium collaborated with Hassell Studio to develop CSU’s Campus Master Plans that ensure vibrant, future-ready campuses. These plans align CSU’s physical and digital assets with its strategic ambitions, guiding capital planning, maintenance, and development decisions. They also foster community engagement, enhance marketing initiatives, and communicate CSU’s history and aspirations.
Our approach delivered a holistic portfolio plan that evolves with the changing educational landscape, ensuring campuses remain relevant and adaptable. Specifically, we developed contextually and culturally responsive master plans for the Wagga Wagga and Bathurst campuses, integrating sustainability, functionality, and long-term resilience.
By leveraging a multidisciplinary team and a future-focused methodology, we provided CSU with practical, implementable strategies that support its long-term vision while enhancing student experiences, campus operations, and community connections.
