EcoFutures core business is helping clients conserve and restore biodiversity in the context of climate change and other long-term pressures facing our land and seascapes. We deliver Strategic Ecological Advice where our core skills focus on developing plans and strategies to help our clients understand the risks to their ecological assets and plan for their future.

We use a range of ecological conceptual models and modelling tools to help develop biodiversity and ecosystem conservation policies, plan and manage natural reserve networks and assess the impacts of climate change.

Spatial analysis and visualisation are integral to much of our consulting work. Our team specialises in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide valuable insights and advice to clients, and present complex ideas and concepts in a visually appealing format.

Our team has extensive experience in developing and implementing ecological monitoring programs across Australia for local councils, state and federal governments, natural resource management organisations and water utilities.

Where we work

Australia

Across the Alluvium Group, our Australian business employs more than 150 staff, including engineers, scientists and economists. Our work focuses on: sharing water resources efficiently, sustainably and equitably; shaping cities and communities; addressing climate change through enhanced adaption and resilience; and addressing the decline in our natural resources. We support our clients through offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Townsville and Byron Bay.

We work collaboratively with funders, governments, non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations and private businesses to develop inclusive, ecosystem-based approaches that tackle the growing threats of climate change and rapid urbanisation. Our team works from offices in Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai. We also work across the region, including in Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
