Ying is an environmental scientist who has project experience in environmental water, ecohydrology, riparian ecology and spatial analysis. Her project experience spans a diverse range of environmental disciplines both locally and internationally. Ying is particularly interested in the ever-changing knowledge of ecohydrology and has a keen interest in connecting the dots to strengthen her knowledge in environmental management.
Ying has a strong technical background in hydrological and ecological modelling, data analysis and visualisation and GIS spatial representation. She is familiar with several modelling platforms such as Eflow Projector and eWater’s eflow Predictor, eWater’s Source, MUSIC, QGIS and ArcGIS. Her technical ability and attention to details are highly valued by her colleagues and clients. Most of her work includes transforming datasets into easily digestible formats and forming data-driven narratives to provide strategic advice on natural resource management. She hopes to utilise her technical background to work towards evidence-based solutions to achieve optimal outcomes for our ecological landscape.
