Melbourne’s Vegetation Quality and Vision Mapping 2018
We were contracted by Melbourne Water to update the Vegetation Quality Visions geographical information systems (GIS) layer. The Vegetation Quality Visions give Melbourne Water a consistent view of riparian vegetation quality, providing the best available assessment of riparian vegetation condition across the organisations operating area. The vegetation assessment involved six workshops held at regional centres across the Melbourne Water catchment. Prior to these workshops, the existing vegetation quality and vision mapping was sent to workshop participants to review and familiarise themselves with areas requiring updates. During the workshop’s vegetation assessments were captured on physical maps.
